How we pack countertops?

Packing is so important for granite countertops from overseas. Packing does not mean simply putting everything into crates. Granite countertops are easy to break if not handled or protected properly. Moreover, organizing well and packing well makes for efficient installation and minimizes problems at the job site.

Lunstone is constantly looking for ways to improve its business processes; that includes packing, a vital part of the business. We are the best in the industry.

This is a good example of how our stone products are handled after they are cut. This project was for one of our clients, a top general contractor in independent senior living construction.

1) We separate floor-by-floor and area-by-area. Granite for different floors or areas will not be packed in the same crate.

2) Outside each crate, a packing slip tells the installer where the crate should be delivered.

3) Inside the crates, every granite piece has a label with unit type, dimension and, the most helpful information, the room number.

4) We developed our own software to do packing area separation and labeling.

5) Our crates are very sturdy.

6) We do not allow a single piece of granite to shift inside a crate during shipping.

7) We use good-quality cushions to protect granite inside the crates.

8) When unloading crates into a container, we add supports to make sure not a single crate will shift during shipping.
